A college newspaper nerd turned event planner, band manager, and director of operations for a small non-profit. Previous experience includes community management for The Michael Schimmel Center for The Arts and Pace University's Enrollment Services dept.
Brian has managed our band "Manic Pixi" for over a year now. We have never been more put together since Brian joined the team. His organizational tactics are only matched by his care for the people involved in the work and uncanny ability to see sides of projects we would have sorely missed without him. An eye for detail, a personal touch, and an energetic, inspired approach to the tasks at hand. That's Brian Rentas.

Industries I love
What I read
When I need to advance my knowledge: Copyblogger, Buffer's blog, and Social Media Examiner.
When I need inspiration: Unstuck, Tiny Buddha, GOOD and Apartment Therapy
When I need to get lost in something: Jonathan Franzen or Chuck Klosterman
Currently the Director of Operations for Punk Out, a nonprofit focused on the visibility of the LGBTQ community in the alternative music scene, and manager of the pop-punk band Manic Pixi. Otherwise, I'm traveling between concerts with a book in my hand!
I thrive in a team setting that encourages and supports taking calculated risks and trying out new, unfamiliar ideas. I admire clients that allow me to have fun with my work (within reason!) while being forthcoming with what they expect.
