Work history

Freelance travel writer
I currently work for Travelstart South Africa in the capacity of freelance travel writer. I conceptualize and write monthly 1500 word posts for their travel blog. I provide my own photographs with my posts.
Fulltime content producer and researcher
For two years I wrote content for virtual coaching software that helps users think through challenges (both self-developmental and work related) in a critical and self-reflective way. I also managed all monthly internal and external newsletters.
Freelance social media manager
For six months I managed GoRhino's (a loyalty card program that donates a portion of proceeds to rhino conservation ) social media. I created and scheduled weekly Facebook posts and Tweets and also created copy for newsletters and advertising material.
Fulltime studio and social media manager
For two years I built up Flat Art Studios' (Cape Town's biggest food photography company) social media presence via Facebook updates, tweets and a weekly blog. The blog included behind-the-scenes recounts of shoots as well as articles on food photography.
Freelance holistic health writer
I currently work as a freelance writer for Holistica - South Africa's leading holistic wellness resource. My articles cover topics such as holistic health, self-development, meditation, yoga and wellness retreats.
Blog manager
From 1 May 2017 until present I have been employed as Blog Manager for Brownie Points South Africa. I create content centred on the social sector, volunteering and NPO best practices. I am in charge of content curation and strategy.

What I read

"The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield is an absolute must-read for any creative or any person for that matter! I HIGHLY recommend it. I read various publications on www.medium.com every day. I also absolutely love reading www.theeverywhereist.com

Side projects

I own www.dreamerdo.com where I provide motivational and inspirational content to help people overcome resistance and procrastination. I kickstart daydreamers to get up and get moving, to make things happen in their lives and actually achieve their goals.

Ideal team

I enjoy working with small teams or independently. I thrive on autonomy with the trust to get the job done right and on time. But, saying this, I am also a great team player and am flexible in my working preferences.
