Experience

Summary

I began by writing for newspapers. That evolved into a marketing career. I now write for several clients ... and I'm putting finishing touches on a book.

Work history

DJM Writes, LLC
Self-employed
I'm a full-time freelance writer. I have clients all over the nation.
Director of Communications
I was recruited to this position where I helped rebrand the company by giving it a new personality and voice. It was a fairly small company and I wore a lot of hats. Most written material (site, ads, social media, sales tools) came from me.
Writing Manager
I served as lead writer and manager for a small group of writers. We were the voice of a billion-dollar brand. I also travelled extensively worldwide, interviewing and writing about the company's top performers in a monthly print magazine.

Ideal team

I like a team that thinks outside the box and is committed to getting a project done, both on time and well. I like team members that can help push my creative boundaries, yet still allow us to collectively achieve the goals we create for ourselves.
