I specialize in communications planning as well as writing, editing, social media and producing electronic and print publications.

Work history

Senior Communications Consultant
Strategic corporate communications planning and execution for a health care organization with 25,000 staff and 2,600 physicians.
Publications Manager, Multimedia Coordinator
Produced technical manuals and time-sensitive information for rights-holding broadcasters of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Fraser Health Hackathon

I provided communications strategy for the first-ever hackathon in a British Columbia health authority, including outreach, storytelling, video, photography and designing images and infographics.

"What Matters to You?" day

A communications plan brought together tactics such as storytelling, a call to action for health care workers, and photography. A photograph I took ended up on the front page of The Province, one of British Columbia’s most-read newspapers.

Canadian Screenwriter magazine writing

Contributing feature writer to Canadian Screenwriter, the magazine of the Writers Guild of Canada, as well as Reel West and other television and film industry publications.

TV, eh?

I created the TV, eh? website in 2006, building a WordPress platform and social media community around the Canadian television industry.

Six Word Stories

To improve employee engagement and create a pipeline for further storytelling, I created a six word story campaign for a health care organization under the theme “what I do matters.”

Technical writing

Worked for three years for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games, writing and editing technical documents. Olympic Games-time contract work for London 2012, Sochi 2014, Rio 2016 and PyeongChang 2018 involved producing information for rights-holding broadcasters quickly and accurately.
