To solve this challenge, I had to first build capacity in-house — building up market situational understanding within my marketing department. To build team capacity I relied on my many years of experience in nearly all facets of IT and my extensive background in competitive intelligence.

Establish leadership position in the cyber security training market.

In order to tap into the cyber security market, I devised a strategy beyond the traditional marketing approach as these traditional channels were already cluttered. I attracted prospective clients by developing a narrative that was tailored to address their pain points.

Build the social selling program for the global sales teams and demonstrate ROI.

Learning Tree has a global sales presence on three continents but was severely lacking in its ability to compete beyond its currently serviced accounts. In addition, the social selling trend was increasingly being leveraged by our competitors. It was clear that a solution was needed urgently.

Launching a product into a well established market with defined leaders and "go to solutions" is always an uphill battle. Doing it with a limited budget with an aggressive launch timeline adds another dimension of complexity and innovation.
