We are looking for a part-time social media manager for our real estate team. The team works out of our Hillcrest office in San Diego, but you could be based anywhere if you're creative. As long as you have a decent phone and a solid wifi connection, you should be able to get it done.
The goal of a person in this position is to manage our online presence in order to generate more traffic to our website, and thus more sales for the team.
The channels that we are most interested in using to raise awareness are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. There are some specific things we want to explore with each of those and we can talk about the details later. You will have a say in the final strategy and we are open to suggestions when you find things that work well.
The blog platform attached to our website is Wordpress. If you have Wordpress experience, that's great, but don't sweat it if you don't. We can teach you all you need to know.
If you have experience in a similar role, that would be wonderful and please let us know. Real estate is a goofy industry filled with people who play the "monkey see, monkey do" game of marketing. They look around and just copy with the other agents are doing. I'm looking for some creativity and some thought behind the strategies we agree upon, not just setting up auto-posts from Hootsuite with a bunch of hashtags.
You will have some control over your personal schedule. We are far more interested in your results than we are in the number of hours you spend on a task. The daily and weekly tasks will be clearly outlined at the beginning of each week so there is no confusion about what needs to be done.
