Folly Theater
Marketing Manager
Developed public relations and digital strategy for Folly Theater with a focus on content marketing to increase awareness and ticket sales. Developed marketing plan and Web upgrade proposal. Managed social media with a 60% increase in followers.
Director of Communications
Developed and managed advertising and PR for the library's 13 locations and served on the library leadership team. Developed strategic plans and marketing plans for the library and foundation with significant success, most notably, the Truck campaign.
Full Time Communications Faculty
Developed curriculum and instructed core courses in the advertising and PR concentration, served on university marketing committee and was appointed by university president to serve on branding committee. Developed and instructed senior capstone program.


Library Courier Truck Campaign

Developed concept in conjunction with Barkley Advertising Agency Creative Director, Tom Demetriou and developed strategic communication plan for truck launch that resulted in local and national media coverage including a mention on NPR's Blog of the Nation.

6by6: Ready to Read Program

Developed program in cooperation with library staff, American Library Assocation, and local artist Brad Sneed. Program won awards, was adopted by State Library of Kansas for state-wide rollout and was the subject of a 2016 book promoting early childhood literacy.

Literacy for All Luncheon

Developed concept, plan and implemented the first annual Literacy for All Luncheon to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Literacy Kansas City. The event yielded over $50K in its inaugural year and is now an annual Kansas City event. n
