Experience

Summary

After spending the first decade of my career working in telecom (Comverse), finance (Credit Suisse) and adtech (EnnovateMedia) I have operated hatchmap LLC, a freelance software production company. I am currently working solo but hire teams as needed.

Work history

CTO / Lead Developer
The team behind SocialMadeSimple were one of my first entrepreneur clients. They had an idea on a piece of paper and wanted to turn it into a web platform. I built the first version and helped manage their technical team going forward.
Lead Developer
I built the first version of ConnectRN (the web and mobile apps), helping them launch their application. The web app is a Java Spring application, and the mobile apps were built in Obj-C and Java.
Triumph Learning
Lead Developer
I helped Triumph Learning maintain their e-learning platforms CoachDigital and Waggle Instruct. They were both Java web applications (using Spring&Hibernate) and originated from the same codebase.
Lead Developer
After School Specialty acquired CoachDigital from Triumph, I remained the lead developer contracted to support and maintain the platform.

Portfolio

SocialMadeSimple

We were approached by the founders of SocialMadeSimple with an idea and a 2 page requirements list. We worked with Geoff and David to build a Information Architecture document blueprinting what was to be the first version of SocialMadeSimple, and then helped build it.

Red Hook Crit Timing and Scoring Platform

hatchMAP partnered with the Red Hook Crit bike race to produce a timing and scoring app for live scoring of one of the most exciting bike races in the world.
