Copywriting Strategy Marketing Content Design

It all started when I ran a social network way before anyone really knew what one was. That, and a side gig writing for radio and theatre, led to a decade of helping organisations tell their stories in creative and effective ways.

Work history

Freelance writer and creative director
Working with startups, agencies, media companies & more to engage audiences in interesting ways e.g.writing compelling copy and scripts, curating festivals, exploring virtual reality and creating projects and campaigns that share stories far and wide.

Some of my work

Browse some of my creative projects, writing, online experiments and even some photography - from fun bots and scribbles on orange peel (why not?) to animations for Lego, digital experiences for Hollywood and the world's first physical social network (probably)...

What I read

Anything I can get my hands on. I don't always enjoy it, but I've always been keen to try new things. I have a huge collection of independent magazines in particular, as well as a healthy RSS feed I try and overhaul every 3 months or so.

Side projects

Who doesn't love a side project? I always have a few online experiments on the go (photography, building twitter bots) which you can see at and I love answering interesting questions (often on the Olympics and athletics) over on Quora.

Ideal team

The ideal team is the team who genuinely wants to solve the problem at hand (and then find another problem they can smash through too!) Who it is, how many, where they are? I don't mind. As long as the passion is there, it's always an exciting ride.
