Work history

Through keynotes, workshops, and private coaching, I provide a simple, creative, and humorous bent on Confidence and Personal Branding. Clients range from small business leaders to Fortune 500 VPs. I help you get clarity so that you can get results.
KTWO-TV
Executive Producer, Reporter, Anchor
NBC affiliate - I was the recipient of Best News Piece of the Year 2001. ABC affiliate - Community Affairs Director, Host and Executive Producer of award-winning weekly series, "Days Gone By," as well as "Report to Wyoming" weekly magazine program.
Cleveland Browns
Scoreboard Production and Graphics Team
I was the DEKO operator for the gameday in-house scoreboard production team. You know the stats and players' info that you see on the main scoreboard during Cleveland Browns games? That was me writing it! (Talk about real-time proofreading!)
Dr. Lawrence Oswick, DDS
Director of Marketing
My main job was to continue to develop and implement the brand strategy of this successful dental office. Internal marketing was a focus and my effective communication with current patients through newsletters, social media, and in the office were keys.
Empire Industrial Supply Co., Inc.
Chief Operating Officer
I ran the day to day operations of this family business for six years. Responsibilities included customer relations, overseeing the sales and marketing teams, negotiating new client contracts, and, of course, doing anything if someone didn't show up. ;)

Portfolio

One of my published articles - Wring Out Your Sponge Already!

This is a recent article published on Medium.com. It is a good example of how I enjoy using analogies to create a picture in my reader's head. As it is said, "A picture is worth a thousand words." As an effective communicator, you do not need to write a thousand words...you need to paint a picture.

Copywriting Client

This is a small business consulting client of mine who had a massively convoluted (and unsuccessful) website! It was cluttered and difficult to navigate without getting lost quickly. I helped her to condense her messages, both about herself and her business. The result is about 800 new visitors/mo.

Making the Switch: Ensure a Smooth Transition from Homeschool to Traditional School

This is a recent article for a print magazine, to which I am sometimes asked to submit by the editor. This was in the November 2018 edition of Northeast Ohio Parent Magazine. I am often approached to write articles for them on the topic of homeschooling, which my daughter was for several years.
