My career is rooted in content and communication. Intrapersonal, non-verbal, written and oral. A journalist turned marketer and team builder, I have worked in digital and traditional information channels for more than two decades.

TBC Corporation
Director, Content and Creative Services
I lead the teams responsible for personalization efforts, content marketing strategies, optimization initiatives and the creative designs used across all marketing channels by more than 20 company-owned retail, franchise and wholesale brands.
Tropical Shipping
Marketing, Project Management, Training and Special Projects
I helped build Tropical's first e-commerce website. I developed custom print and digital content for each of the 28 Caribbean ports serviced by Tropical vessels, and created an internal training and education center on the SharePoint platform.
CBS SportsLine
Over eight years, my team and I managed site photography and editorial content and designed and produced specialty websites for sports leagues, such as the NFL and PGA TOUR. SportsLine was bought by Viacom in 2004.
The Palm Beach Post
I moved to Florida to join the Post as an editor, and quickly discovered how much I liked design. A visually-focused paper, the Post was the perfect place for me to stretch into creative design and begin learning to code.
The Montgomery Advertiser/Alabama Journal
At the Advertiser, I won the Alabama Press Association’s Spot Newswriting Award for the story of 12-year-old Tabitha Ross – a sixth-grade student and the victim of Montgomery County’s first drive-by shooting.


User-Generated Content for Retail Website

I was invited to the Michelin 4x4 Driving Experience at a Vermont ski resort in the off-season (no snow). I spent 4 days driving Jeeps over all kinds of terrain and performing on test tracks. I used the experience to build a 100% user-generated, fully-shoppable content package.

Looking for a way to begin a dialogue with customers, I wrote a proposal for what became a four-vignette 'web' commercial series designed to underscore how much people rely on their vehicles, and how valuable the services of a reliable auto service company really are. This is one of the four.

Patience, panhandlers!

This is one of several pieces of very snarky satire I used to write on a blog called Lifeisacookie. A PRNewswire story in March 2010 about a couple of U.S. employment and economic reports, was so lacking in specificity about the real impact of those reports that I wrote Patience as my retort.

I update resumes for free for recently laid-off employees. I am a relief driver for Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches. I raise money for MS research as an ambassador for MS Run in the US. Oh, and I love travel, photography, and crochet.

Ideal team

Small teams. I work for a large corporation, but it's the one-on-one that I believe is the most impactful. I love collaborative teams, and do best working with confident managers who give you the autonomy and flexibility to do your best work.
