I'm a writer who tends to veer toward science and tech, but I'll tackle any interesting project. You can find some examples at

I have an MFA in nonfiction writing from Columbia University. I've been writing professionally since 2007, and though I gravitate toward projects about science and technology, I'll write about anything that catches my eye.

What I read

All time favorite authors: Terry Pratchett, Bill Bryson, Douglas Adams, Flannery O'Conner, Donald Barthelme, John McPhee, Frank Herbert, and others. What's on my nightstand? Neuromancer, Catcher in the Rye, Trickster Makes this World.

Side projects

I write for ThinkApps and, among other blogs. I have a blog at where history and science collide. I'm also a contributing writer on a documentary called Over the Hurricane, which aired on PBS in 2012.
